A Skyline Safari-Inspired Bachelor Pad
Perched at the zenith of San Francisco's bustling cityscape, this penthouse project began when our client, a writer who had been residing in the Middle East and Africa, acquired the property, marking his homecoming to San Francisco. Designed by Sabra Ballon, our Principal Designer with over two decades of experience in San Francisco's architecture and design scene, this residence is a testament to tailored luxury and personalized living spaces.
As the elevator doors open, you are instantly transported to a realm of relaxation and enclosure. The interior welcomes you with dark earth tones, deep greens, and dark mustards, complemented by original African artworks and accessories, adding a unique character that enriches the space. In the primary bedroom, a focal point is the wall behind the bed's headboard, adorned with antique Charles and Ray Eames screens that offer a rich patina. The dining room boasts a striking cabinet with open shelves designed by Christian Liaigre, emphasizing the room's sophisticated aesthetic.
In the living room, we stained the wood cabinets to harmonize with the stone surfaces, and added dark-colored sheer curtains to soften and quiet the mood throughout the space. The design strategically enhances San Francisco's prized natural light, creating an ambiance that is both invigorating and serene. The project included a turnkey installation of accessories and homewares, ensuring every detail was in place.
The penthouse's expansive outdoor terraces provide stunning views of the bay and a 360-degree panorama of San Francisco, including a spectacular view of the Golden Gate Bridge, making it an exceptional space where every corner tells a story of adventure, cultures, and unparalleled style.
